I Have a Wood Pile

While growing up, our family always had a wood-burning fireplace, which meant we usually had a wood pile in the garage. In this day and age, new homes don't have the real fireplaces, and therefore, fewer and fewer people have wood piles.

That has changed for us. We now have a wood pile.

We've been in our house for 5 years, and from very early on we knew our deck wasn't safe. It was very shaky, and in fact, you could kick the baulisters out with a fairly light tap of your foot. We decided it was time to do something about it, and had the steps and baulisters replaced over the weekend. What we were left with, was our very own, huge wood pile. We've had more bonfires in the past 3 days than in our 10 years of marriage. The boys love the S'mores the best!
