Matt came home from school today with a secret to tell Brian. He whispered in Brian's ear that Carson told him she is falling in love with him. He was smiling from ear to ear. I asked him if he was falling in love with her, and he said yes. He said, "I think about marrying her."
How sweet and innocent. If only they could stay this way forever!

2 Years Today!
Two years ago today Adam Charles was born! He was going to be our girl. I really thought we were having a girl, but I cannot imagine life without our 3 wonderful boys!
Adam has been an easy-going boy from day 1. He's laid back, funny, sweet, loving, and we are so blessed to have him in our family!

Swimming Pictures!

You'll notice that most of the boys wear fancy racing suits. Until we're sure that Ben wants to be doing this for a while, we'll stick to the $3 Wal-Mart suit. Ben didn't care too much, but he was happy to see the boy in a suit like his.

1st Swim Meet
Ben had his first meet the other night. I think I was probably more excited than he was! We had quite a cheering section ready to come and root him on. Our family, Holly and her family, Uncle Robert, Nana and Papa, and a neighbor family were all going to be there.
When Ben and I arrived to the pool for warm-ups, the place was a ZOO! There were kids and parents everywhere. 45 minutes before the meet was to start, there was standing room only. Nana and Papa had already arrived and had a seat, but I called all the others and told them this might not be the meet to watch. Brian and the boys, along with Uncle Rob, still made it and managed to find some seats, but it was insane! I looked at my mom and said, "This is a whole sub-culture I never knew even existed!"
The swimming finally got underway and Ben did very well. He swam in three events, and the meet took 2 1/2 hours! (We left after his races and it was still going on!) There was an hour in-between his first two races, and another 40 minutes between his 2nd and 3rd. I guess I just wasn't expecting a "novice" meet to be so intense. Ben's coach said there were about 200 kids there. After it was over, we asked Ben what he thought and he said, "It was fine," and moved on to playing something else. He said he would like to keep swimming and participate in another meet.
I think Brian and I have learned that we will approach the next meet quite differently! It's not the most conducive environment for a 2 and 5 year old!
I'm having some difficulty getting the pictures to upload, but once I figure it out, I'll post them.

TC 10 Mile
Today was the day of the Twin Cities 10 mile run! I ran with my friend, Kari, who is part of the Children's Tumor Foundation: ctf.org
Kari's son, Connor, has neurofibromatosis (NF), which is the same disease my cousin Carly had. Kari's affiliation with CTF allowed several of us to run as a team, and they provided the bright yellow tanks as a way to continue to raise awareness. It was very meaningful to run to help Connor, and as a way to honor Carly's memory!
During the run I was thrilled with how I felt! This was my longest road race, and it was a lot of fun! I finished in 1 hr 35 min. I would love to run with the NF Endurance team again!
Brian and the boys, along with my dad and brother (who happened to be in town from CO this weekend)were at the 8 mile mark. It was a real mental boost to have a cheering section.
