Matt's Baseball Season

Matt's 4th year of baseball just wrapped up.  He had fun playing this year.  His team started off pretty strong and doing well, but at the end of the year tournament, they weren't able to advance.  That's okay.  He was excited to get his participation trophy and a little ice cream after the game.  He's learned a lot about the game and his skills have improved.

We don't know if he'll want to continue playing next year, but if he chooses to try another sport (we're thinking we might encourage him to give a golf a try), we'll support him no matter what!

This friendly dog was a great distraction for Luke.

Adam enjoys playing cars while we watch the game.

Matt is his own person, and he decided it was just TOO HOT for baseball pants!

Great job, Matt!

Lawn Service

Wow.  Apparently I can't train for a marathon and keep up with my blogging.  That's the only real difference I can think of from last summer to this summer, and I've been horrible with posting.

Ben has had the opportunity to earn some cash this summer by mowing my parents' lawn.  We head over about once a week, and many times, it's a family affair.  Their lawn mower isn't self-propelled, so Ben has his work cut out for him, but he does a great job!

He even bags the grass clippings.

Learning how to refuel the lawn mower.

Matt helps with dumping the clippings in the compost pile.

These two adore each other!

I even get in on some of the action.
