Interesting

This was the outfit on the gal doing the stair-stepper near me at the club this afternoon.

Pretty normal so far, right?

Then add these:

I'm no fashionista, but I don't think tall Uggs are typical gym attire. Even if I had forgotten my tennis shoes I think I would go sock-footed, go bare foot, or better yet...go home!

Pink or Blue...

here is your clue!

Yes, it appears our streak of boys will continue! Honestly, there was some disappointment, but ultimately, the baby looks healthy, and that is what really matters the most. I need to remember that 4 boys will give me the permission to have my house that much nosier, messier, smellier and crazier, right? : )

The technician said the view she got wasn't the greatest, and since I'm only 13 weeks and the baby is only ~3 inches long, she can only be about 75% accurate. It would be a fun surprise if in 6 weeks when I go back for the next ultrasound they said it was actually a girl, but for now, we are preparing for a boy, thankful that it's a healthy baby, and not getting rid of any of our blue things just yet.

Still rather alien looking, but considering it's smaller than the palm of my hand, pretty amazing to see this early!

4 Days

In 4 days, we will hopefully know PINK or BLUE!
We've never found out before, so this is whole new territory for us!

I will plan to post results Tuesday at 3:00.

Stay tuned...

Green

In honor of Earth Day this week, Adam decided to get a green cast and a green sucker today! He couldn't have been a more cooperative patient. He'll have the cast on for a month, at which time he'll have another set of x-rays and that should be it. The dr. thinks this will be a quick and easy healing process.

The broken wrist really hasn't slowed him down. Over the weekend he was climbing up slides, riding his bike, running around and jumping on the trampoline! The only things he'll really ask for help with that he usually does independently are getting his clothes off and on and climbing up in his carseat. I thought this might mellow him out just a bit. It hasn't! Let's just hope he doesn't turn it into a weapon on his brothers.

All done!

Broken Wrist

Adam broke his wrist yesterday. Our family went for a walk to the park, Adam had his new garage sale Lighting McQueen Crocs on, he was running, and down he went. He was crying pretty hard, but I thought it was just a scrape and told him he'd be fine.

A neighbor was biking by and heard him crying and helped out by trying to distract him. She invited us over for some leftover birthday cake and ice cream, and I happily obliged! Adam wimpered through a few bites (which should have been my clue that something indeed was wrong) and then said he didn't want to finish.

At home we got him through the tub, gave him some Tylenol and an ice pack, and got him to bed. I thought that was going to be the end of it. He woke up about 1 1/2 hours later crying again, and from then on, he never really fell back asleep. Finally at 1:15 am I decided he was up, I was up, and something must not be right, but I felt a little silly going to urgent care for a fall that had happened almost 6 hours earlier. Fortunately we didn't have to wait very long, Adam was a trooper during his x-rays, and sure enough, his little wrist is broken, and the urgent care dr. was a little suspicious that it might have another smaller fracture in a 2nd spot. For the time being he's got a splint on and it's all wrapped up. We aren't able to get into the orthopedist until Monday morning, at which time we're expecting he'll want to cast it.

3 boys and this is our first broken bone. Not too bad. I'm sure there will be more to come!

It May Not Have Been Tropical...

but it was still a good vacation!

We went to South Dakota for a few days over spring break to visit Grandma and Opa. It was nice to leave home and have a change of pace. The boys always enjoy helping Opa with his scrollsaw blade business, I was able to take a nap, and we ate lots of great food!

The weather was wonderful and we spent much of our time outside at various parks.

Thanks for the nice visit, Grandma and Opa!

Flashback

Do you remember this post from last year?

Several years ago when we were changing our email service, we made our user name Moorsfour because there were 4 of us at the time. A few years later, Adam came along and the 4 was now 5, but out of laziness, I never changed the email name, instead letting the 4 refer to the 4 males in the house. Well, now Moorsfour can take on yet another new meaning. Child #4!! Yep, we finally made our decision, and November will be a busy month for us as we welcome Moorlach baby #4!!! We are very excited about one more addition to our family.

Last year it was a pretty good April Fool's Day joke.

This year, it's not a joke.

It's real.

I'm pregnant.

With baby #4.

Holy cow!

My mind is in a whirlwind.

It was more of a surprise than planned, but still an absolute blessing.

I'm still adjusting to the idea.

Thankfully I've got until November 1st to adjust.

I think we'll try to find out the sex. We've never done that before.

Deep down, I am hoping for a girl, but realize the odds are against me.

We'll keep you posted!
