"The Routine"

Every night before bed, Matt asks to do his "routine". It officially begins after he has had his bath, snack, brushed his teeth, read his books, made sure his cars are in the right order and turned on his fan and night-light. This is what the "routine" includes:

*tuck in blankets just so
*sip of water
*tuck in blankets again
*pray
*hug and kiss
*series of comments regarding what the next day's activities will look like (these comments are always the same, even if we never do the activity the next day)
*ask question, "When can we get a trampoline?" We then answer, "Maybe this summer"
*say good-night and I love you
*he reminds us to shut the door half-way

One day we'll think this was all cute, right? For now, it is downright exhuasting, especially when all we want to do is collapse into bed!

Matt is definitely one-of-a-kind, but we love him!
