Random

Lots of random things in no particular order:

Adam woke up puking last night. Totally unloaded, but at least most of it was on the kitchen floor. Now I'm wondering if it will go through everyone. Adam's comment this morning, "Is puke Spanish for throw-up?"

I had conferences this week. Overall they were fine, but a couple of families just don't want to believe their child is anything less than perfect. I find that SOOOO annoying.

At one conference I shared this spelling sentence their son had written. The spelling word was usually. "I usually get my testes turned in on time." Made me chuckle.

Ben did not advance in the science fair. While I felt bad for him and he was a little teary about it, secretly I was relieved that we don't have to think about it anymore. It was a good reality check for him when most things come so easily.

Now that Matt is 9 he qualifies for speech services at school to start working on that tricky /r/ sound! He's excited about going to speech a couple times a week.

I'm struggling to eat healthy. I clearly have a sugar addiction that needs to be broken.

A high school acquaintance of mine and his wife had baby #3 last week. The baby was born not breathing and had a faint heartbeat. He has since been in the NICU with lots of complications and the looming fear of brain damage. It really puts things in perspective.

Luke is almost 17 months old. He is a total ham and is repeating everything we say. He wants nothing more than to be right in the mix with his older brothers. All 4 of them put on a few little skits/singing/dancing shows for us last night. It was great!

We juggle 3 school districts in our family and we have 3 different weeks off for spring break this year. In a way it's kind of nice, but it's also a logistical nightmare.

My house is always messy, but it honestly doesn't bother me that much anymore.
